The award-winning Close House Toptracer Golf Academy and Driving Range is the ideal place to perfect your game before you play the beautifully presented Lee Westwood courses.

Open to golfers of all ages and abilities, it offers designated tuition bays and custom fit suites with world-leading TrackMan launch monitors; practice bays with Toptracer technology; a specialist short game area and a café where you can relax and take in the beautiful views of Northumberland.

In addition to our two 18-hole Lee Westwood Championship Colt and Filly Courses, our 9-hole Yearling Course is an excellent place to sharpen your short game, or can be used as a warm-up for a full 18.

The Golf Academy has everything you need to improve your golfing performance and our team of PGA professionals are always on hand to help, be it with a performance lesson in our teaching suite, a custom fit session to find your perfect club, or a playing lesson on one of our courses. There is tailored tuition available for every level to make a real difference to your game.

At the Close House Golf Academy and Driving Range, we’re proud to offer the latest in golf innovation with our Toptracer range system. This advanced technology is designed to assist golfers of all ages and abilities in refining their skills and support their continual improvement.

The user-friendly Toptracer range app can be easily downloaded for free from your Appstore. The app incorporates a variety of features aimed at enhancing your performance and enjoyment of the game. From the precision of the launch monitor, which meticulously tracks ball distance, to the immersive virtual golf simulation allowing you to play on renowned courses worldwide including our very own Lee Westwood Colt Course. Our Toptracer technology stands as a beacon of golfing excellence.

Our team of PGA teaching professionals at Close House have over 50 years’ combined playing and coaching experience, bringing with them a wealth of golfing knowledge to help you perfect your game.

Custom Fit

Specialised club custom fitting is conducted by our team of PGA professionals who use the latest TrackMan ball flight analysis software to ensure you are fitted to the highest possible standard. SAM PuttLab is used in the putting suite to help you to select the correct putter to match your stroke.
